Long-distance move from Sherman Oaks, CA to Las Vegas, NV

Stress free move - highly recommended!!!

I recently used this company for my move, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was smooth, efficient, and completely stress free. The team arrived on time, handled all of my belongings with care, and worked quickly without cutting corners. They were professional, friendly, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. What really stood out was how organized and communicative they were throughout the entire process—it made the whole experience surprisingly easy. If you’re looking for a reliable, top-notch moving company, I highly recommend them. They made what’s usually a chaotic day feel effortless.

Good service, Good attitude, Overall I'm ?

I used ABC Moving for my move last month and they did excellent work! We went with the expensive package and had their team packing everything for us. We moved out of a five-bedroom house during a blizzard and these guys didn't complain once! They were quick, friendly, courteous and most importantly professional. We got our furniture and boxes last week and could not be happier with their packing, NOTHING WAS BROKEN!Highly recommend.

Long-distance move from Chicago, IL to Scottsdale, AZ

Worst moving company on the planet, avoid at all costs! Criminals!

LIARS, THIEVES, CROOKS. This sums up my experience with ABC moving systems. If I could give these guys -5 stars I would. Never had a worse experience in my life. They were 10 days late, and wouldn’t bring my stuff over because it wasn’t profitable enough for them to go from Vegas to Arizona with just my load. I was forced to sleep on an air mattress for 2 weeks. No one knew where my stuff was. So much confusion, dropped calls. Evasive and rude staff. Terrible communication. When my stuff finally did arrive it was massively damaged. If you could see the pictures you would never go near this company. They destroyed 80% of my stuff. I was extremely disappointed and devastated after using these crooks. They are truly criminals. I hope this company goes out of business soon because what I went though was horrible. No refund, nothing. Just the absolute worst people. Daniel is a crook and so is his staff of goons. STAY FAR AWAY!

Long-distance move from Minnesota to California

Unprofessional Low quality careless inexperienced moving company.

To whom it may concerns,

The worst moving experience ever and we moved out of state a quite a few times!!
Whatever could go wrong with this moving, it went wrong!!

Called United Relocating, because we wanted to make sure our moving out of state will go smooth and because we heard good things about your company we decided to choose you instead of your competitor. We set up the time when and where we will be moving. Your movers will come out to pack on the 30th of May and the 31st will load the truck. It will be a shuttle truck taking our things to a semi truck that will go to Livermore, CA from Crystal, MN. We planed everything according to that.
Made our inventory and put deposit down. They informed us that we have the Platinum plan with no price exceeding and the movers will call us with details.
4 days before the moving Jose called from ABC Moving that he will be coming out to see what they have to work with. We told him we allready have a company moving us when he informed us that United is the one sending them. Nobody told us that a different company will move us! This was the first surprise.
He came to look and we tried to explain to him that we have a very expensive bed, a sleep number. He said that needs to be taken apart in order to bring it down. Tried to tell him that the top doesn’t come off, but they are two, side by side pieces and that is how the movers brought them up last time wrapped up with wrapping. He’s got offended and raised his voice and told us to let him do his job. He knows what his doing. He had very negative comments about a lot of things. He was keep saying how busy he was and it maybe an extra charge for this moving whatever the office told us. We purchased our own supply and started to pack all the things ourselves that was highly valuable to us because already lost trust in your representative.
Jose called us 4 days before the moving saying that they will come earlier. Instead of the 30th, they will come on the 29th and they will pack and load the truck the same day, take our things to the big truck that will deliver them. He will have 5-6 people with him. This way we will have our things in 5-6 days-he said. We had to readjust our schedule according to that again. He also told us he will call the day before to let us know what time they will be here. He didn’t call on the 28th as it was promised. 29th came and we were waiting for them to show up and nobody came. Called him several times to see what is going on. He finally the fifth time answered the phone and he said right away that he is very busy and he will come on the 30th early morning. We were once again, adjusted our schedule according to that. On the 30th we got up 5 AM thinking they will come early. We were waiting and waiting nobody came. When we called him, he said he will be here between 9-11. 11:00 am we called again. He said he will be here by noon. He finally showed up with a truck at 1:30 PM with 2 people. He told us that the plan has been changed and the shuttle is our truck. Whatever will fit on the truck they will take. At that point we were ready to tell him to forget the whole thing, but because he demanded payment earlier saying that if we don’t pay at front they will not deliver our things, we paid everything in full already the day before. We talked to United about how unprofessional the representative was.
So when Jose came he apologized and around 2:00 the packing started. At first he told us everything will be marked detailed what's in the boxes, all artwork will be crated. Started out with 2 people packing. He came to us after 10 minutes that he has to leave because he needs supplies. He had no markers, no cutting knifes, not enough boxes and wrapping paper. One of the workers he left there did not listen to the instruction to which contaners and boxes are going and which ones are staying from the garage so by the time we noticed, 4-5 boxes were in the wrong group. We had to open them to see what's in them to make sure that we don’t take somethings we don’t want to. The 2 other workers showed up and one of them started to pack the kitchen. Putting our pots and pans in boxes without any paper between them. Throwing smaller items in boxes blending seasonings and silverware etc together in big boxes. We could tell that he did not pack before, he had no idea what he was doing. Because they didn’t have any tools, they used my chef knife to cut tapes and boxes. One of the workers were very good at what he was doing! He wrapped our furniture very well and we could tell he was a professional. It was another younger worker who did a very good job.
I have to add that I asked several times to put something down on the floor to protect the floor and the carpet because it was raining and it was muddy outside, but they ignored it. I am sending pictures to show you how the carpet looked after they were done. They were bumping the furnitures to the walls, scratching the hardwood floor, loosing parts of our furnitures. We had bottled water for them in the refrigerator and we ordered pizza for them. But before we even had a chance to tell them, Jose already asked for drinks and to order food for them and sitting down to do paperwork talked about tip. Jose asked for snacks from the pantry, used our phone charger and to us it felt disrespectful. About 3 hours later Jose told us that he doesn’t have anymore of the inventory stickers. He had only200, so he will continue without them to load the truck. He said he doesn't have enough wrapping paper so my husband had to go to the store to buy some for him. Because they came so late of course the packing didn’t get done before dark. Started to speed up by not wrapping our furniture anymore, not marking the boxes. Blending everything together whatever they found without marking them or inventory them. We had our furnitures and boxes outside in the rain.
The truck wasn’t big enough so we had the coffee table on the truck, but the glass top wasn’t. Took 4 chairs, but 2 left etc.. The expensive and fragile artwork he promised to will crate, he wrapped them in cardboard boxes the way that part of the art piece was taped with packing tape as you see it on the picture. Some of the ones he inventoried on the beginning they left them in the garage.
We had to rent a trailer to take the parts of our furniture to our new home, because if we have only some parts of them, we can't even use them. Close to the end Jose started to have an attitude again that they are very tired and it is dark so they really have to go now and when we told him he should have come earlier as he promised that we wouldn’t have to work in the dark. He got mad and they din’t even clean up after themselves, leaving our things that din’t fit on the truck outside on the ground, leaving a big mess inside and they took off. Before they left my husband even gave him appreciation money, because some of the guys worked very hard and it wasn’t their fault to have Jose that unorganized and unprofessional. We are scared to even write these things down, because we don’t have our things yet and Jose said it will be his cousin delivering our furniture. We are already scared to see what has left undamaged from our precious possessions, that we worked very hard for.
Please, see the pictures that we took of the things that got damaged so far and we are sure of that more will come.
Paid a lot of money to get professional service from you and what we got so far is terrible! The money had to spend to clean the house, paint the walls, clean the carpet after them, to rent a trailer, use extra gas because of the trailer, took extra time to get to California from Minnesota with the trailer is unacceptable !! We would like to know what you are going to do about this. Jose should not be able to go to families homes and disrespect everything that is important and valuable for them like the way he did to us.

Kind Regards,

Rozalia.

Beware wolf in sheep's clothing.

Beware wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have moved cross-country 9 times and this was the ONLY time I had issues with broken items, lost items, overcharging, etc. Daniel was lovely and wonderful up front, someone I would be friends with and on the back end, he disappeared and wouldn't make the situation right, even though he promised to reimburse for what I had to pay someone to reassemble the items they took apart.

A large percent of boxes were ripped or smashed in. When unloading and reloading the truck they treated my items like absolute trash and just destroyed them. I don’t know what happened but I’ve NEVER had a single item lost or destroyed in all my cross country moves and in this move, every single large item I have that was packaged by ABC Moving was damaged, destroyed or lost.

—My wardrobe boxes of my nicest dresses was upside down and smashed in and when I opened it, the dresses were all scrunched to the bottom and there were 3 small boxes and my dirty VACUUM cleaner added inside the wardrobe box and smashed into my dresses and all retaped to make one single box. I had conversations with Daniel up front and I had wanted to buy wardrobe BAGS for my hanging clothes. He said no, they prefer wardrobe boxes so the clothes arrive nicely. Presumably during the truck reload in Chicago, they cut all of my wardrobe boxes in half, threw away the metal bars and smashed all my dresses to the bottom half and retaped them at half their size. I have 120+ items of clothing that arrived completely smashed in balls at the bottom of the boxes.

Overcharge: Company systematically and intentionally underassessed on the front end and then asked for $2000 more on the back end, item content was similar or less than original scope (differed by 7 items including a cooler, step ladder, plant pot, and 4 boxes). I agree with their assessment of the items they said I have on the pickup end, however they gave me an inaccurate space estimate on the front end so I would choose them. We had countless conversations in detail evaluating my items and scope of the move. There is no physical way given the list of items from front to end that it went up by 44% in space (485 cu to 700 cu feet). They agreed to meet in half and only charge $1000 if I would leave positive reviews online.

—Boxes marked UP with an arrow were upside down with stuff topsy turvy inside, small boxes with fragile items were torn in, there seemed to be complete disregard for my personal items. I’ve moved 11 times and done multiple cross-country moves and this is the ONLY time I’ve had anything broken or any boxes damaged, much less such a large % damaged.

I don’t know who/what happened to my stuff in Chicago but I suspect that’s where the damage was done. I watched the guys load the truck in Minneapolis and they were careful and I watched the unload and they were careful. So somewhere in between something really terrible happened and people treated my stuff like garbage. If you saw it, I think you would be appalled, it looks like someone instructed them to ruin my things. My general complaint includes that someone intentionally destroyed my boxes.

Vlad who was one of the delivery movers pointed out most of the damage to me and also took pictures with his cell phone.

Out-of-pocket cost: Additionally, I had to pay to get someone to come assemble my desk. My contract states ABC would reassemble anything they took apart but the mover stated it was too hard and he didn't know how. The second mover ABC sent (hired off Craigslist) brought a man back to help assemble it. I talked to Daniel M that night and he promised to Zelle me the $ the next day, he promised same three times on a phone call and then stopped responding.

Theives! Total Scam! Their license should be revoked!

ABCmoving guys simply stole my $2000 TV, and said sorry we can't find your 55 inch TV. After waiting 3 months to dispute with movingcalims they say they are generously going to compensate with $50 !!

There is no customer service or anything to talk to, only one guy Ben who rejects my call. I also talked to the "owner" Daniel and he said he would talk to Ben, the day after I called again he had blocked me!! Their address is a UPS store address in IL.

Besides stealing my TV at the time of delivery, they made me rent a Uhaul and hire other local movers to take my stuff home from a home Depot lot. Otherwise they would charge me another $350.

ABC moving is a total fraud and these guys should have their license canceled by DOT and be responsive in civil court.

Just step away from them as far as you can.

Long-distance move from Illinois to Florida

Straight Up Scam

If I could give this company zero stars I would. This whole experience was nothing short of highway robbery. Moving across the country, I specifically told them a date and time frame I needed based on my association's policies. I only had two storage units to move from Chicago to Florida- and I was originally quoted $1980 for door-to-door, at each junction I occurred tons of hidden charges. After it was all said and done I paid close to $6,800!

The scummiest part of this whole transaction was two days before delivery, Daniel calls me with some story that they have to come tomorrow not the next day (which was planned for over a week) because my stuff isn't the only one on the truck and if they can't come tomorrow they will have to charge me another $1,500. So, I begged my association who accommodated my urgent request.

It was made very clear from the start the movers had 4 hours. Daniel sent two guys who moved like molasses, and couldn't get the job done in the allotted time (they should have had three guys). There was zero urgency, they charged me extra onsite for the length of the hallways. Then they left mattresses on dressers, and stacked boxes that crushed fragile inventory.

Since they didn’t finish on time, I had to scramble and get a storage place for them to move the rest of my stuff into (another cost) a storage unit to stage until I could reserve another move-in date with my building association. Guess what? Daniel made the movers stop at the bank and deposit my cash payment before they even finished the job.

They didn’t finish loading my stuff (poorly packed) into storage until close to 8:00 PM. Come to find out I was the only load on the truck, Daniel straight lied about multiple loads on the truck. The movers got a local hotel room for the night- so the truck wasn't needed (another lie Daniel told) for another delivery for the day.

I tried to call the representative and Daniel, even the movers several times, left many voice mails and texts with no reply. I guess they moved on to another victim.

They're called ABC Moving- but based off their service they should be called the Illiterate, the Greedy, and Scheming Moving Company. A warning.. scroll past these thieves on your Yelp search.

My next move is to call the BBB to officially file a report. During the pandemic, these fools should be ashamed of themselves.

Long-distance move from Las Vegas, NV to Miami Beach, FL

Total Frauds, Scam: Traumatic Experience

If you don’t have time to read the entire review, because it is lengthy, just know this: United Moving Company & ABC Moving Systems are complete and total scams. Do not hire them under any circumstances.

1. Constant Lying & Moving Goal Posts:

First, we were told our belongings would arrive in roughly two weeks. Two weeks passed, and we called for an update. We were told our items were being loaded on the truck that weekend and we would receive a call confirming this on that upcoming weekend. We received no call, and when we called back, we were greeted with an extremely rude United representative. This representative then told us that she could not get ahold of our carrier and that she did not know where our belongings were. In a matter of days, our update goes from “It’s being loaded this weekend”, to “We don’t know where your belongings are and we can’t get ahold of the people who do.”

We repeated this process multiple times over two more weeks. Every time we called, we were greeted rudely, told different updates, and in the end, never talked to our carrier.

Additionally, we were told different things by three different people - the broker, the carrier, and the deliverymen. They were giving us different prices, delivery time estimates, and drop-off dates.

2. A Disappearing Act:

United provided two phone numbers to reach ABC, our carrier. One of the phone numbers was disconnected, and the second one resulted in a hang-up after two rings followed by a text that said, “I’m on the other line, please text me”. Upon texting that number, there was no reply text or follow-up call. This is the person who knows where our items were and when they would arrive, and he willingly ignored us.

3. Hidden Fees:

Our move was initially quoted at $1,097 from Nevada to Florida. $517 down payment prior to pickup, $580 at drop-off. After our items were packed in the truck, I had to pay an additional $1,740 before the movers left our apartment. After viewing the contract, I saw that next to the quote we were given, there was a fine print of: “Total Estimated Charges: estimates are not guaranteed”. Great. Then, after our items were in their possession in limbo, the price to deliver our goods jumped by another $450. Then, due to their mover not having time to move us in on the day he promised, they charged us another $350 for a “redelivery fee”, even though we accommodated his needs. Finally, they charged us an additional $180 because our apartment was 182 feet from the elevator. Our initial quote was $1,097, but in the end, I wound up paying $3,469. I got out of the $350 redelivery fee because I finally put my foot down to these scammers and told them no more.

4. Manipulative Word Play:

We were told it would take roughly two weeks for our items to arrive from March 10th.

March 24th arrived, and then we were told two weeks from the first available drop-off date we provided, which was March 15th; that brought our delivery date to March 29th.

When the 29th arrived and our items were still not here, we were then told it was actually 21 business days from the first available drop-off date, which then brought it to April 12th.

Our items finally arrived on April 13th...

5. Broken, Stolen, & Lost Items:

My brand-new desk, armoir, and one of my acoustic guitars was completely destroyed in the move. My other acoustic guitar was “lost in transit.” It was the only item I foolishly didn’t put a lock on, and everything else arrived - it’s safe to assume it was stolen, because we saran-wrapped around a dozen paper towel rolls inside of an open night stand. Upon arrival, the saran wrap was torn and all paper towels were gone. I’m not upset about the paper towels missing, I am upset that someone - or multiple people - trifled through and stole our belongings. This is what leads me to believe that my guitar was stolen, seeing as other items were blatantly stolen. So now, I have to go through a disgusting reimbursement process, outlined below...

6. Horrible Reimbursement Process:

The deliverymen told us to contact the ABC email provided at the top of the contract. Which, by the way, he couldn’t provide a copy of, so I had to take a picture of our contract. Incredibly unprofessional. Anyways, we contacted the email we were instructed to, and have yet to receive a response. So, we contacted the broker, United, and they sent us to a generic moving claim website that takes weeks to process a claim.

7. In Conclusion:

My fiance and I went through a traumatic experience hiring this company. For a month, we had to sleep on the floor, were forced to spend money on items we already had, and worried about important documents and valuables being lost or stolen seeing as nobody knew where they were. At the same time our items were in limbo, we were being lied to and manipulated by the people we trusted and hired. Please, do not ever hire this company. I am posting this review everywhere possible to save others from going through the same...

Long-distance move from Minnesota to Virginia

Run in the Opposite Direction.

More than $10k in damages to our furniture and missing antique furniture. Apparently International Van Lines subcontracted our move to ABC. Both companies did nothing to rectify the issues. They both pointed the finger at each other. We were told to just file an insurance claim, however, we are still owed the standard $.60 per pound which both IVL and ABC can't seem to understand. While it's more work, I would highly recommend using Pods vs. hiring movers. They are scam artists in the worst way.

Upon arrival to the house, we were required to sign that everything was delivered without issue before they would start unloading. Then charged a $75 long haul fee required to pay in cash.
